PSG Vs Montpellier French Ligue 1 Live Online Commentary

PSG’s midweek victory over Metz meant that the defending champs moved on the same points (77) as current Ligue 1 leaders AS Monaco. However, Monaco has a game in hand. It was a tough match for PSG who looked to have thrown a two-goal lead away. But Blaise Matuidi scored right at the death to give them an all-important 3-2 win. PSG are in excellent home form as they remain undefeated in Paris and have won 13 points from their last five home outings. But what has also been testament to their home record has been their lack of goals conceded, just 6 all season which is by far the best record in the league. PSG are still set to be without atacking midfielders Julian Draxler, Hatem Ben Arfa as well as defender Layvin Kurzawa.

On the other hand, Montpellier’s two recent wins over Caen and Lorient has eased fears that the club were about to get caught up in a dreaded relegation battle. The guests are now 8 points clear of the drop area and will be safe for this season. Whilst the club have won 2 of their last 4 matches on the road Montpellier still have the 3rd worst record away from home and they will start as obvious underdogs taking on PSG. Defender Cedric Mongongu is set to miss the game through injury while Daniel Congre is suspended for the game.
