Claude Puel’s side really haven’t looked good in their opening four Premier League fixtures. The players seem to be struggling to adapt to life without Ronald Koeman and the new signings that have been brought in haven’t replaced the hole left by the sales of Victor Wanyama and Sadio Mane yet. Hovewer, Southampton finally got their first victory of the new season on Thursday at home in their first Europa League group match as they won Sparta Prague 3-0, and Claude Puel and company will be hoping that win kicks them into life in the Premier League.

On the other hand, Swansea clinched an impressive point against Chelsea last weekend, although they will feel hard done by to not have taken all three points. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Leroy Fer struck a couple of goals in four minutes to turn Chelsea 1-0 lead on it’s head in the second half, but nine minutes from time Diego Costa got his second goal of the game to equalise the scores and rob Swansea of two points.

Southampton Vs Swansea: Head-to-Head Stats
