Swansea’s run of bad form continued on Sunday when they played on the road with Claude Puele’s Southampton and were narrowly defeated by 1-0 margin. This loss was Swansea’s 3rd in a row in all competitions, although their 2-2 stalemate at home to Chelsea prior to this can be considered a good outcome. Their other results this season include a narrow win over Burnley, a defeat at home to the novice Hull City, a 3-1 victory at Peterborough United in their first League Cup fixture, and a 2-1 loss to reigning Premier League champions Leicester City. As for Swansea’s injury update, Borja Baston will be hoping to make his first start for Swansea after returning from injury on Sunday, while winger Nathan Dyer is out until November.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s side continued their brilliant start to the season on Saturday when they demolited Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth 4-0. This made it eight straight wins since the start of the campaign, with them scoring 25 goals and conceding just four in the process. Their last four matches have seen them scored 13 goals and concede just two. As regards City team news, attacking midfielder David Silva is carrying a muscular injury which could keep him out, whilst fellow midfielders Fabian Delph and Fernando are still sidelined.
