Neymar vs Cavani saga: PSG coach reveals his first-choice penalty taker

During PSG 2-0 Lyon match Neymar and Cavani have fought for a penalty and free kick, which caused some resonance in a media. And today Unai Emery introduced to the press his first-choice spot-kick-taker.

After the victory, PSG chief told while a press conference: “We are arranging internally for penalties that come in. Both of them are capable to score and I want them two to alternate in this exercise.”

Later he has added: “If there no agreement I will decide for them. It should not be a problem for the squad. In my opinion, the first person in charge for penalties is Cavani. The second one is Neymar”.

Neymar and Cavani were involved in the pitch confrontation. At the first Dani Alves did not give the ball to Cavani when he prepared for free-kick. Neymar did it instead (unsuccessfully). Then Neymar argued a bit with Cavani for the second penalty. Later Alves was accused of backing Neymar, because of snatching the ball from Edinson.

Diego Forlan has commented the incident in the media: “He does not give the Ball to Cavani, but gives it to Neymar as if he was his b**ch”.

In turn, Alves has responded on Twitter: I do not know what the game you all saw, but I did not take the ball from my teammate. They took it from me!”

Later Alves told that there is no any feud or arguments between them. Actually, they “went to a café for a reconciliation dinner and already calmed the air”. Seems the first problems in a “PSG Paradise” is settled and there is nothing to worry about.

However, because of minor injury (reportedly), Neymar is left out of the squad for Montpellier match on Saturday. Brazilian star will return to the pitch for a match against Bayern Munich on 27 September.
