The Black Cats got their first point of the season in their last league fixture with Southampton. Now they are in search of their first league win, and are looking forward to break 3 consecutive season of not winning a game in the opening 2 month of the season. Sunderland are hoping that Jan Kirchhoff and Jordan Pickford will recover in time for Monday, but Vito Mannone, Lee Cattermole, Billy Jones, and Fabio Borini all face a longer spell on the sidelined.
