Die hard fans of Cristiano Ronaldo kicked 61 balls to house of UEFA President, Michel Platini. According to reports, the fans were angered by the comments of Platini about the winner prediction of 2014 FIFA Ballon D’or. Just one day to go for the announcement of 2014 best player of the year. The president of Union of European Football Association has openly admitted that he feels a German should win the award as he is the world champion. The comment hinted that Ronaldo would not be a worthy winner if he is named recipient of the Ballon d’Or. About the winner of 2014 FIFA Ballon D’or, Platini said.

The Ballon D’or tends to go to a player who has performed exceptionally well at the World Cup, someone who won it. So this year it should be for a Germany player. It was always that way until 2010 when Leo Messi won despite having a fairly average World Cup, so nothing is for certain.

A gang of Ronaldo fans have reacted just before the announcement of winner. They kicked sixty one balls [equals to goals scored by Ronaldo last year] and published it on internet with a title “Let’s Kick Platini Out!! Cristiano Ronaldo Ballon D’or“. Their faces were covered during the whole process.

There were claims the pair’s relationship was a frosty one after video footage appeared to show the former Manchester United star avoiding a handshake with the Frenchman at the Club World Cup, though the reports were later denied by both parties.
