NorthEast United FC, the Indian Super League team have signed three new players named Mtonga, Garcia and Tzvoras for the first season. It is now official that these new players will now play for the Indian football club in 1st season of ISL which is beginning from 12 October 2014.
Three New Players in NorthEast United FC
The club have signed Greek Goalkeeper Alexandros Tzvoras, the Portuguese defender Miguel Garcia and the Zambian midfielder Kondwani Mtonga. Both of them are ready for the debut in ISL which begins from next month month after completion of Champions League T20.
During this agreement, the Portuguese defender Garcia said “I’m very happy to be a part of this club. I have been in Shillong for a week now and everyone here is very friendly. All the boys are working really hard on their fitness and skill during training sessions. Playing for NorthEast United is a big challenge for me as I need to adapt to how football is played here & I’m looking forward to a good season with this club.”

Another player Mtonga will add boost in midfield of NorthEast United FC. The player said “I am very happy to be here; meeting all my teammates and club officials. I am very excited to be part of the Hero Indian Super League and I am looking forward to playing in front of the North East United FC fans. I will do my best to help the team win.”
Garcia already played for Sporting Club de Portugal Youth Academy and made his senior debut in the 2003-04 season. The player was appeared in finals of UEFA Super Cup for his previous team Sporting Lisbon in the year of 2005. Coach Thangboi Singto’s squad is one of those team which is consists of maximum foreign players.
The Indian football club is owned by Bollywood actor John Abraham and Shillong Lajong. They have appointed Ricki Herbert as manager of the team. Right now, NE United have a team squad of 22 players which is now raised to 25 players after the arrival of these three new players.
