Willian has revealed his admiration for new midfield duo Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic and how they have adapted to life at Chelsea.
Italian midfielder Jorginho who worked under new boss Sarri in Napoli became the manager’s first recruit after his appointment was finally confirmed last month.
On the other hand, Kovacic arrived at Stamford Bridge earlier this month as on a season-long loan deal with Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois going the opposite way on a permanent transfer.
Both Jorginho and Kovacic have since made their debuts for Chelsea in the Premier League and have played a key role in their winning start to the new season.
And Willian who despite his exit rumours remained at the club has been impressed by what he has seen from the pair.
He told the club website: “Everyone has been training well, but I would say Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic have been very good. They both bring a lot of quality to the team.”
Next up for Chelsea is a trip to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United on Sunday.
