Arsenal are going to sign Omar Rekik from Hertha Berlinduring during the winter transfer window, according to sources. As Sportsmail wrote, the Premier League club agreed a £900,000 fee for the 18-year-old player with the German capital on the deadline day but failed to close the deal in time. In fact, the move of a young footballer was part of negotiations for Matteo Guendouzi’s loan to the Bundesliga side. However, the Dutchman is reportedly linked with Mikel Arteta’s club right now, as Arsenal are planning to sign him when the window reopens in winter. Although the centre-back has allegedly gotten offers from other football clubs, his next destination still remains unclear. Omar Rekik has scored one goal and made an assist in his 8 appearances for the second team this campaign, but it was enough to attract the attention of European giants. He has also previously played at youth level for Marseille, Feyenoord, and PSV.
