Blackburn Rovers Vs Manchester United Live Online Commentary

Blackburn Rovers’ difficult campaign continued in this midweek with a narrow 2-1 defeat at Sheffield Wednesday, leaving them 23rd in the Championship with a two point margin to make up before they can exit the relegation area. This loss makes it two victories, two draws, and three losses in their last seven matches in all tournaments, and despite their decent FA Cup run so far they know that surviving in the Championship is incredibly important. Unfortunately for Blackburn they can’t even fall back on their form at Ewood Park. They have only won three of their last eight games at home field, drawing two and losing three to make for a rather miserable run in front of their home supporters. As regards team news: defenders Tommie Hoban, Elliott Ward, and Adam Henley and midfielder Corry Evans are injured for this one, whilst Derrick Williams and Gordon Greer are also doubtful as Blackburn’s defensive crisis continues.

Meanwhile, Manchester United is always a huge clash for Blackburn Rovers supporters, and it’s unfortunate for them that they are coming up against a visiting side in great shape at the moment. They won French side St Etienne 3-0 at Old Trafford on Thursday so all but wrapped up their UEFA Europa League tie in the first leg. This win, driven by the hat-trick of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, makes it four victories from their last five outings in all tournaments, and they have scored an impressive 12 goals in this spell. They have only lost one of their last 23 games in all tournaments. 13 of their last 17 games have ended in victory, and even on the road they have managed six victories, two draws, and one loss from their last nine outings. This takes them to within two points of the Premier League top four and to the EFL Cup Final, but the defence of their FA Cup will surely be a high priority as well.
