Man United striker deny any suggestions of his returning to Sweden squad. Ibra claims without him they play with less pressure.
Even if Sweden will beat Italy and reach the finals in Russia 2018, Zlatan Ibrahimović rules out a return to international football. After EURO 2016 36-year-old reiterated that he is finishing an international career. Today Zlatan concerned with the regaining of his fitness and playing only for Manchester United. There are no plans for him about international play.
“I do not think about Sweden squad or next World Cup. I want to return my fitness as soon as possible. And my story with the international squad is finished. Maybe I could have done more or less, but that story has come to an end. Still, it would be beautiful if Sweden reached the World Cup”, told Zlatan.
Besides, he added: “While I am out of the squad, they are playing with less pressure. People expected much more when I was on the team. Fans thought we would win the World Cup or the Euros. Now that pressure is gone. Moreover, they doing really well so far, reaching second place in a difficult group. But of course, Sweden would be a better team, if I listened to my ego”.
