The home side will start tournament on the back of fine form, they have won eight of their last nine games, with only 2–0 defeat against the England. They have scored 21 times during the process and have conceded only 10. The hosts looked shaky in the latter stage of friendly matches as Cameroon nearly shocked them with surprising victory. Their last 3–0 win came against Scotland with Arsenal duo Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny were on the score-sheet.
Meanwhile Romania will have to do something special to surprise the Les Bleus. They have won just two of their last ten matches, drawing seven and losing just once. The Romanians qualified for Euro 2016 with a mean defensive record, conceding just two goals in their 10 matches in Group F: the best record in qualifying.
France will start the campaign with the strongest line up with Hugo Lloris captaining the side, Laurent Koscielny and Rami are expected to be at the heart of defence while Kante, Matuidi will be playing as holding midfielder. Dimitri Payet, Antoine Griezmann, Paul Pogba and Olivier Giroud are expected to start upfront.
Romania will be led by Fiorentina defender Vlad Chiriches. Grigore and Sapunaru are expected to join them on defence line while Popa, pintilii, Stanciu, Stancu will partner in midfield and Andone is expected to play a lone striker.
France starting lineup (4–3‑3 formation): Lloris; Sagna, Rami, Koscielny, Evra; Pogba, Kanté, Matuidi; Griezmann, Giroud, Payet
