Virgil van Dijk has stated that Liverpool is capable of winning Champions League, as well as Premier League double as they took charge of the quarter-final of Europe against Porto.
Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita struck inside in the first twenty-six minutes on Tuesday at Anfield for giving the men of Jurgen Klopp a victory of 2–0. Quite different from the last clash only a year ago when Liverpool had won their first leg in Portugal with 50 for rendering the return fixture as a formality, the victory on Tuesday has left them with some work to do.
Van Dijk is aware of the fact that they have to showcase better performance next Wednesday since their opponents have shown them they are capable of scaring them at times. He said that he knows that it is going to be a difficult game and scoring 2 good goals was really important. However, a clean sheet was even more important. He went on to say that they have few things to build on. They kept on pressing and progressing. According to him, they played really well.
This result is keeping Liverpool on the way to dream double. They are leading the Premier League with only 2 points away from Manchester City and Van Dijk thinks that they can win both trophies.
He states that they have to be confident and that it is an excellent time to be a player at Liverpool. There are 9 games left and if all goes well, they can dream of double trophies.
