Spurs haven’t played in UEFA Champions League for 5 years, they reached the quarterfinals in 2010/2011 season. Now they are drawn in a tough group E alongside German side Bayer Leverkusen, French Monaco and Russian team CSKA Moscow. Tottenham have kickstarted their domestic campaign on a high note, as they are unbeaten since the beginning of the season with 2 draws and 2 wins. They demolished Stoke City on Saturday, by a 0-4 margin. They are hopeful of getting to the knockout stages again in this season’s Champions League competition.

Meanwhile, Monaco defeated Fenerbahce and Villarreal in the 3rd qualifying round and playoff round respectively to get to this stage. They are currently top of the Ligue 1 table with 10 points, also they have been undefeated since the start of this season. They did well to grab another win on Saturday, they trashed 0-4 Lille on the road. They will be hoping to carry their good domestic form into the Champions League as they travel to London.
