Based on their shooting, chances creation, take on, distribution, recovery and rigour, the CIES Football Observatory have announced the list of top 10 football players in every position. This list consists mainly of players from Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1. One of the most known footballer is not even in the list of top 10 that have shocked the whole football world. Let’s begin it with defenders.
Top 10 Centreback Footballers of 2015
The Bayer Leverkusen defender Emir Spahic is the number one defender of 2015 scoring total 100 points in this list. Manchester City’s Martin Demichelis and Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels are at second and third spot with 89 and 79 points respectively.

The defending champion of Premier League is have scored 100 out of 100 defeating Real Madrid’s Marcelo Viera who have collected 75 points. This means Marcelo is the best defender of La Liga followed by Jordi Alba of Barcelona with 69 points.
