Alexis Sanchez, Man Utd, Premier League

Sanchez Was Ready To Leave Manchester United After His First Training

Alexis Sanchez states he was ready to leave the Red Devils right after his first training session at Old Trafford. Manchester United contracted the former Arsenal forward in 2018 after he racked up 80 goals with the Gunners. However, the Chile international failed to show the same great results at Man Utd under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s leadership, scoring only five goals in 45 matches. What was the problem and who was to blame? Sanchez has claimed that a bad atmosphere around the team made him think about the exit immediately after his arrival. The footballer says that he was happy to join the Reds but quickly realized it was not the club he had been anticipating. Alexis adds that people who criticized him for disappointing performance were wrong as they spoke knowing nothing about the situation inside the team. The 31-year-old player joined Inter on a loan at the beginning of the 2019–20 season. In August, the Serie A side signed him on a permanent basis.
