The Brazilian forward Ronaldinho is approached by an Indian Super League team called Chennai Titans to play in first season of ISL. According to recent reports, the Atletico Mineiro, forward is impressed from the offer of Chennai Titans and he is likely to complete the deal with Indian football club. But right now, there are no confirmations about his appearance in newly formed football tournament of India.
Ronaldinho May Play in Indian Super League
Ronaldinho is one of the few players from his nation who has played at every international level. He played for Brazil in 1997 FIFA U‑17 World Championship in which he scored first goal via penalty. He was awarded with Bronze Ball award as Brazil scored a total of 21 goals and conceded only two goals.
The representatives of Chennai Titans & team’s co-owner Bollywood star actor Abhishek Bachchan recently met the 34 years old during a peace match in Rome. They presented an offer for Ronaldinho to play as a marquee player in the upcoming competition Indian Super League which is beginning from 12th of October 2014 at Salt Lake Stadium.

A recent source revealed that “We might have signed him in Rome itself had he been present. We will meet him again over the weekend and hopefully clinch the deal. The transfer deadline for Europe is over and he hasn’t signed for any club. Things are looking bright for us.”
Although the Indian club is looking to sign him, but the confirmation from Brazilian forward yet to be disclosed. After recent approach, the club is waiting for Ronaldinho’s response. “We are waiting to hear from Ronaldinho’s brother if he is willing to come to India for advanced negotiations or if someone from here needs to rush to Brazil. That will happen only if there is confirmed interest.”

Ronaldinho is also one of those players who have won big trophies in his career. In the year of 2002, he won fifth FIFA World Cup for Brazil. 3 years later he won FIFA Confederation Cup in 2005. He was the best player of same year as he won FIFA Ballon D’or award in 2005.
If he joins the Indian football club, then it will be a great step for Indian football. The tournament is going to begin from 12 October at home ground of Atletico de Kolkata. They will face Mumbai City FC on first match day of the competition.
