Manuel Neuer, the goalkeeper of Bayern Munich has given a warning to his teammates to improve their defense if they have to beat Liverpool in the following match of UEFA Champions League.
The giants of Bundesliga have conceded twice in the 3-2 win on Friday over Augsburg. After this Neuer had been quite pleased with the defensive effort that had been put in. He says that the match has been great. However, conceding the goals had been complete madness. It is not possible to do this. He says that they want to defend it and maintain a clean sheet. However, they have not been able to achieve it. Twice they caught a cold on the wings.
Neuer comments that the squad is aware of the fact that Liverpool is an offensive team and they are going to get more opportunities to score a goal. It is necessary to stand better, occupy the box better, and also organize themselves in a proper manner, particularly with the passes on the side so that they are able to prevent it.
Niko Kovac, the manager also seems to have a similar kind of message for the players. Bayern had defeated Augsburg narrowly in the Bavarian derby and they conceded only after 13 seconds and following another blunder.
Before Kingsley Coman left the field with an injury, he scored twice. David Alaba was able to bag the winner which left these defending champions only points below Borussia Dortmund.
