Messi wants for Barca three Man Utd players if Coutinho’ deal collapses

Soon Liverpool will receive a new bid for 25-year-old Philippe Coutinho. The last of three bids was about £118m with add-ons. However, Messi thinks that Barcelona can get even more if the deal fails. He convenient about three Manchester United stars can easily replace Coutinho if the board makes a right decision.

Spanish news Diario Gol says Messi badly wants to sign Ander Herrera, Daley Blind, and Juan Mata. Barcelona can afford all three players if they couldn’t reach the agreement with Liverpool. To resurrect the deal Barcelona should increase the last offer. But it’s not so simple to spend for one player a bigger sum than £118m, mentioning the fact they’ve already signed Dembélé for €105m.

Herrera can compete with Sergio Busquets for a midfield position in the squad. Mata can possibly replace Coutinho and even Andres Iniesta, who is currently deciding about his future in Barca. And Daley Blind could occupy one more spot in the midfield. All of the players’ contracts expire at the end of the season.

Still, there is no news about Barcelona’ or Liverpool’ plans. But earlier Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde made few hints about Coutinho: “I have nothing to say about him. He is another great player and I respect the fact he is in another team. I much prefer the players, which is currently in my squad. However, I don’t know what is going to happen in the future”.
