The Norwegian midfielder Martin Odegaard scored his first ever goal for Real Madrid Castilla on 21st Feb 2015 against Barakaldo. The 16 year old midfielder also provided an assist for Varela who scored the second goal for B team. Earlier, Odegaard provided two assists in his debut match for Real Madrid B team. The game ended with a clean sheet victory of 4-0 against Barakaldo.

After the game, Odegaard said “It’s great to score my first goal here. It’s been amazing. Zidane is a great coach, I feel very comfortable here. It’s easy training with the players in the world. Ancelotti is the best coach for Madrid and a great person, everyone can learn something from him.”
He left the pitch on 82nd minute to a rapturous reception as his side went on to secure 4-0 clean sheet win and he confessed after the match that he will cherish the No. 10 shirt from the game.
