Manchester United vs West Bromwich Albion Live Online Commentary
Jose Mourinho and his men won Middlesbrough 3–1 on the road just before the international games to extend their unbeaten run in the Premier League to 18 fixtures. Despite winning by a healthy 2 goal margin, it wasn’t a comfortable ride. A header from the Belgian Marouane Fellaini in the first half and a sweet strike from Jesse Lingaard certainly gave the visitors the edge. But it was a blunder from Victor Valdes that killed off the game when scores were tied at 2–1. Manchester United moved up to 5th in the Premier League table after spending over 100 days in and around the 6th spot. They trail Liverpool on 4th position by 4 points, but United have two extra games in hand. As regards United team news: central midfielder Paul Pogba is doubtful with a hamstring injury, but skipper Wayne Rooney should be fit to return. Center-back duo Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are both major doubts. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera will both miss out through suspension.
On the other hand, the Baggies picked an all-important home victory over Arsenal in their last league fixture. West Brom always looked in control throughout the 90 minutes, while Wenger’s men were chasing shadows around the park. Head coach Toni Pulis will be a delighted man after the win coming on the back of consecutive defeats. The Baggies are 8th in the league table with 43 points to their name, 7 less than Everton just above them. Away from home, West Brom have a poor record and managed just 14 points from their 14 games so far. Matt Phillips is a doubt for this game, but Gareth McAuley should be fit to return after a minor foot injury.
