Sanchez is in the final year of his contract and he didn’t sign the extension yet. Apparently, Pep Guardiola will improve the offer before the deadline.

Arsene Wenger reiterated that he wants to keep Sanchez until the end of the summer and hopes for his extension. But Alexis said during the competition in Russia, that he doesn’t know whether he wants to stay in the squad or not.

Former Arsenal player Nigel Winterburn told if Sterling arrives as part of an exchange deal, fans would be disappointed: “I think Arsenal supporters would say that we have enough attacking options and we are looking for some stability in central midfield”.

“Somebody even suggesting another centre-half, because something happening with Mustafi. And I need take a breath with Sanchez. If he goes as well…”
