Man City Boss Guardiola Responds To Messi Transfer Speculation

Lionel Messi has again been linked with a transfer to Manchester City after Pep Guardiola decided to stay at the Etihad Stadium for another two years. However, the Man City manager insists that he wants the Argentinian to finish his football career with the Catalan club, despite intense rumors that the attacker could join him in England. The former Barcelona head coach signed a new deal with City this week, which will keep him with the Premier League club until 2023. And this decision has increased speculations that City will try to sign the 33-year-old player either in winter or in the summer when the forward will be available for free. Guardiola says that he doesn’t want to sign the superstar as he believes Messi is a Barca player whose place is at the Nou Camp. But what about Messi himself? The player stated clearly over the recent year that he is extremely unhappy with Barcelona’s issues both on and off the field.
