Liverpool Open Contract Negotiations With Georginio Wijnaldum

Liverpool have prepared a new deal for Georginio Wijnaldum, according to reports. The Premier League side are ready to extend the contract with the 30-year-old player, but it appears they ignore the midfielder’s main demand. Jurgen Klopp wants to keep the Dutchman at Anfield. However, Liverpool refuse to give the footballer the four-year extension he is asking for. It is reported that the Reds have offered only three years, and it seems club management is unwilling to make concessions. However, Calciomercato claims that Liverpool have made changes in their recent offering trying to convince Wijnaldum to stay in England. According to the Italian sources, a new contract has been put on the table by the Reds with a salary equal to £115,000 a week. It is much more than the Dutchman earns today. Liverpool are trying to make Wijnaldum put pen to paper before the winter window opens as the player will be able to negotiate pre-contract terms with sides from other countries.
