Good news for Barcelona fans! Georginio Wijnaldum is planning to swap England for Spain this summer. According to reports, he has agreed to move to Camp Nou from Liverpool. The Dutch international has finally given his approval to sign a three-year contract with the Catalan side. It will be the first transfer for Barca under Ronald Koeman’s leadership.
The Liverpool midfielder has been at the center of transfer rumors for several weeks as his contract with the Reds nears to expire. The same report claims that the Spanish club have yet to agree on a fee for the 29-year-old footballer. However, they are planning to offer no more €20 million for him. Barcelona sees Wijnaldum as a good replacement for Ivan Rakitic, who left Barca to return to Sevilla, and Arturo Vidal, who is going to join Inter.
And Liverpool want to sell Wijnaldum and make a move for Bayern Munich player Thiago Alcantara as his replacement.
