Lionel Messi Will Finish His Career At Barcelona, Says The Club President

The Barcelona president has stated that Lionel Messi will end his footballing career here, at the Catalan football club. These words refute the numerous reports saying the Barcelona striker is unhappy with his club and doesn’t plan to renew his contract with it. Josep Maria Bartomeu adds that Messi wants to stay at the club, so they are going to do everything possible to keep him for much longer. The rumors about Messi’s leaving were circulating from time to time, but the 33-year-old footballer didn’t confirm any of them.

Lionel Messi and Barcelona have been inseparable for the last 19 years, ever since the Argentine joined Barca as a 13-year-old. He made his debut for the club at the age of 17 and managed to become an integral player for the team within the next three years. Nowadays, he is often considered as the best footballer in the world and one of the greatest players of all time.
