Eden Hazard should consider leaving Chelsea FC in a bid to take his career to a higher level, says Belgium manager Roberto Martinez.
The Belgian winger has been a subject of a transfer rumor with Real Madrid who wants a swift replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo. Hazard has equally hinted of a move to Madrid in a recent interview after the World Cup. And with Martinez backing him for a move, there is no doubt the transfer could be imminent.
“It could be the best time [for Hazard] to try something different,” Martinez told Spanish radio station Cadena Ser.
“He is a player who has the maturity and a lot of leadership. His play is based on talent. Hazard could carry a new project anywhere in the world. He is at the best moment of his career. He could fit in any team in the world.”
The Blues seem to be preparing for a life without Hazard with recent reports claiming they want to hijack the move of Russian player Golovin to Monaco from CSKA Moscow.
Kante, Willian, and Courtois are the other players linked to La Liga top clubs in what may be a mass exodus of players from the London outfit. Sources close to the club confirmed they are ready to hold on to Hazard at all cost but will listen to offers for Courtois.
The Club announced the signing of new coach Maurizio Sarri alongside Jorginho from Napoli last week.
