France’s World Cup qualification path didn’t get off to the best of starts back in September when they settled for a 0-0 draw in Belarus. This followed on from a famous friendly win against Italy, but their extra time loss in the Euro 2016 Final in Paris was obviously still weighing on their minds. Since then they have improved their performance though. They brushed aside Bulgaria 4-1 at home turf in their second match and then won Netherlands on the road to take them top of the qualifying group on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Sweden has been installed as the clear outsiders to get victory in France. But they are still undefeated in their group. However their form isn’t the best where they have lost 2 matches in their previous 4 fixtures. They have been victorious in their last two matches but not against the stronger oppositions and this will be a tough task for them.

France Vs Sweden : Head-to-Head Stats

France have won two, drawn three, and lost one of their last six meetings with Sweden.
