Phillip Cocu, the ex-Netherlands international has just replaced Frank Lampard’s position in Derby County.
The 48-year-old coach has signed a four-year deal with the football club. He’s expected to join the club’s coaching team, currently including Twan Scheepers and Chris van der Weerden. By the way, Shay Given, the club’s goalkeeping coach is going to retain his post in the coaching team.
Phillip Cocu told that it’s a great honor for him to find himself at this football club and he’s looking forward to meeting the squad and their fans. Cocu expressed his readiness for a vivid football adventure with the team.
As for his predecessor, Frank Lampard, he abandoned Derby County this week having led them to the Championship play-off final in 2018–19 when they were defeated by Aston Villa with the score 2–1.
