Craig Shakespeare was an assistant of Claudio Ranieri. And since February he holds the position of caretaker boss. In his charge Foxes have won all two games against Liverpool and Hull.

Now Shakespeare requires some guarantees from owners. Because he is also aware that the position could be vulnerable after new manager assignment. Nevertheless, owners are impressed with the high mood and great result of Leicester since Claudio Ranieri’s retirement.

Still, there is a contender who has been noticed by owners. There were talks about former England boss Roy Hodgson who also can go on the long-term job.

Shakespeare already has accepted the challenge to keep Leicester in Premier League. It means he is taking charge of a last-16 Champions League tie next week. Remind that for now Shakespeare’s existing contract as assistant manager expires in 13 months.
