Conte Wouldn’t Want Messi At Inter, Says Di Canio

Is there anyone who doesn’t like Lionel Messi? It seems that the whole world loves his talent and charisma. But is this true for Inter Milan? According to Paolo Di Canio, the Nerazzurri boss doesn’t want to see the famous footballer at San Siro. Lionel Messi’s future at Barcelona has been hotly debated during the tumultuous 2019–20 season. The Argentine’s contract is coming to its end next year so many European clubs appear to target him right now. According to the reports, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner is going to leave the Catalan club, but his new destination is still unclear. Messi has been strongly linked with a transfer to Inter, but Antonio Conte denied that the Italian side is planning to invite the Barcelona superstar. Former Italy international Di Canio claims that even if the transfer were technically possible, Conte would go up against a move because of the attention that would come with such a sensational signing. Conte was also asked to comment on his first year at Inter, and the coach took the opportunity to express his displeasure with the Inter board as they failed to protect him and the football players from media scrutiny.
