According to information from independent Italian football journalist Nicolo Skir, London’s Chelsea football club has agreed with Atalanta the transfer of Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic. The midfielder spent the current season on loan at the club.
The lease agreement between the English and Italian football clubs, which they agreed last summer, obliged Atalanta to pay the ransom amount of 15 million euros (13.5 million pounds).
So the club decided that they want to use this option. Pasalic himself will also be pleased to move to Atalanta, as he feels as comfortable in this club as possible.
The Italian club offered Pasalic a 5‑year contract and is even ready to increase his salary compared to what he was paid at Chelsea. Moreover, Lampard did not even consider Pasalic as a candidate for inclusion in the main team. Therefore, Chelsea did not even try to convince Atalanta to use its option.
In 2014, Pasalic made the move to Stamford Bridge from Hajduk Split, but never showed up at the club. The player’s transfer value is estimated at 25 million euros. This season, the 25-year-old Croat has played in 32 matches and scored 7 goals.
