Benevento goalkeeper scored equalizer on 95’ vs Milan and earned first ever point in Serie A

Alberto Brignoli, who plays as goalie for Benevento, scored an unbelievable goal on 95 minutes. Goalkeeper literally earned his team the first Serie A point in the squad history.

Benevento run incredibly bad season with 14 loses in a row. However, today they have broken the streak and earned a first draw in the season.

Milan’ Giacomo Bonaventura opened score at 38’ and then George Puscas equalized. Nikola Kalinic led the team ahead before Alessio Romagnoli was sent off. And when nobody believed, Benevento equalized at 95’.

In the injury time, Danilo Cataldi made a free kick. There was nothing to lose so every Benevento players were on the rival’s box. And when Alberto Brignoli saw the chance, he dived into a terrific header. Brignoli put all for this strike and succeed, which is absolutely incredible.

“It’s a dream to be in Serie A. We hoped it turned out much better than this. But on the pitch was nothing to lose, so I just closed my eyes and jumped. It was goalkeeper’s goal, not forward’s”, told 26-year-old.

Alberto Brignoli is on the loan from Juventus but never played for them since joining in 2015. He played on loan for Ternana, Sampdoria, Leganes, and Perugia. For Benevento, he has made eight appearances.
