Barcelona are looking for alternatives to Eric Garcia ahead of the winter transfer window, which is less than three months apart.
The 19-year-old footballer, who currently plays for Manchester City, was the main Barcelona’s target throughout the summer after he refused to sign a new contract with the Premier League giants.
The Spanish international has eight months left on his deal with Manchester City and will be able to sign a preliminary contract in January for a transfer in the summer. However, Barcelona are keen to have him in winter.
According to reports, the Catalan club are considering alternatives if they can’t sign the forward. The Citizens rejected an offer for €18 million from the Spanish side during the summer transfer window, and it seems Barca aren’t ready to pay more in January.
Koeman is planning to sign a centre-back to bolster his squad, but if Man City refuses to sell Garcia at a reasonable price, he will move on to other options.
