According to reports, the Spanish football club Atletico Madrid are planning to launch 200 outlets in China. The defending champions of La Liga are on the way of promotion from China. The outlets of Atletico Madrid would be opened in Wanda Malls, which are owned by Chinese businessman Wang Jianlin.
Atletico Madrid To Open 200 Stores In China
These new stores of Atletico Madrid will be opened in Wanda Malls, owned by Wang Jianlin. Wang became one of the major shareholders in the Spanish club earlier this year when he bought 20 percent shares of Atletico Madrid.
The club have already a deal with Chinese football club Shanghai Shenhua and trains a number of Chinese youngsters as part of ‘Project Wanda’ to help develop the next generation of footballers.
Atletico Madrid continued their winning run against the city rivals Real Madrid when they made huge clean sheet victory at Vicente Calderon. They are now just 4 points behind the league leaders Real Madrid and 3 points behind Barcelona.
After 22 matches in La Liga this season, The Indios are currently at third spot with points. Out of these twenty two games, they have won 16 matches with loss of 4 and 2 draws. So far in this season of domestic league, Atleti have netted 47 goals and conceded 20 goals [second best after Barcelona, who conceded 13 goals.]
It is also believed that this summer will see Atletico tour China before the season starts.
According to Xinhua, This kind of movie would give Atletico a bigger presence in China than any other European club including their illustrious neighbours Real, FC Barcelona or English powerhouse like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.
