Houssem Aouar has confirmed that he is going to stay with his current club, and doesn’t plan any moves this transfer window, which closes on Monday, October 5. Following his impressive performance in the Champions League, Aouar became a target for Arsenal and Manchester City. Both English clubs were eyeing the Frenchman. However, only Arsenal made their interest visible by putting several offers for the French midfielder, which were eventually labeled as ‘timid’ by the Lyon boss. The French club asked € 60 million for the 22 year-old player and Arsenal have been unable to meet the price. Aouar told French TV that he decides to remain at Lyon and help the club achieve all their ambitions in this season. The footballer added that he wants to continue his football career with the side which raised him. Lyon are now 14th in the Ligue 1 standing with one win from six games played so far this campaign.
