Yesterday La Liga study revealed that Messi statistically is the greatest player in the history of the Spanish tourney.
The Centre of Historical and Statistical Investigations of Spanish Football claims that according to the research, Messi appeared in 382 La Liga matches and scored 349 times. The statistics make him the finest footballer at least in the Spain.
Research based on calculations of scored goals, minutes played by season, penalties etc. Head of research José Antonio Ortega said that evaluations are tallied with a scoring system, which evaluates footballers across all seasons with the one analysis.
The Top-3 also including former Real Madrid player Raul Gonzalez and Barca’s César Rodriguez. Further in the list Telmo Zarra (Athletic Bilbao) and Enrique Castro ‘Quini’ (Barcelona). Interesting that after Messi the next active player is Cristiano Ronaldo who only got to 17th place.
