AC Milan Vs Roma Live Online Commentary
AC Milan are in danger of again missing out on a European football berth. Head Vincenzo Montella and his men have earned just two points from their last three matches, and come into this tie having dropped points against Empoli and Crotone. After seemingly turning a corner by fighting back to earn a 2–2 draw against Inter in the Derby della Madonnina, they suffered a major setback by first losing 2–1 to Empoli, and then throwing away valuable points against cellar-dweller side Crotone. Still, despite that, they are not totally out of the race for a Europa League spot. Inter and Fiorentina haven’t fared much better, but the Rossoneri are not exactly flying high on confidence at the moment. As regards Milan team news ahead of this match: midfielder Juraj Kucka is missing this weekend. Rossoneri are also without defenders Luca Antonelli and Ignazio Abate.
On the flip side, AS Roma will be desperate to bounce back from disappointing derby defeat to Lazio. The Giallorossi now are just one point ahead of Napoli in the race for a runners-up position, and should they lose to Milan, they effectively will hand Juventus the Scudetto. Whilst they have no realistic chance of catching the Bianconeri, the least Roma will be looking for is to finish in second in order to avoid the much dreaded play-off. Roma are missing defender Antonio Rüdiger and midfielder Kevin Strootman through suspension.
