Wolfsburg Vs Bayern Munich German Bundesliga Live Online Commentary
Things were starting to look better for Wolfsburg as interim coach Andries Jonker guided them to four straight games undefeated (W2 D2) after taking over the reigns. However, with three losses from their last four Bundesliga matches (W1 L3), the pressure is beginning to mount. Wolfsburg’s 33 point tally is one of their worst ever totals at this stage of the campaign and though Wolfsburg have a comfortable five point lead above automatic relegation, the Wolves are just one point above Augsburg and the relegation play-off spot – not ideal for a side who were competing in the UEFA Champions League just 12 months back. On the other hand, Carlo Ancelloti’s side seemed complacent in their return to Bundesliga football last weekend (a 2–2 draw at home to Mainz) and were caught off-guard by Borussia Dortmund in their exit from the DFB Pokal (German Cup) semi-finals on Wednesday (a 3–2 loss at home). Bavarians do, however, still have a comfortable eight point cushion atop the Bundesliga, and if other results go their way this weekend – if RB Leipzig lose to Ingolstadt – his team could claim the Bundesliga crown with a victory on Saturday. In fact, Bayern Munich have sealed a title with wins away to Wolfsburg twice before (in 2003 and 2008).
