Wayne Rooney fined two weeks’ payment

Everton’ forward fined for two weeks’ wages, which will be donated to charity. Because of his drink-driving conviction, Rooney has to give about £300,000 to local projects, which are connected with Everton community.

After drink-driving, former Man United captain was arrested on 1 September. Judges during the court have banned Rooney from driving for two years. Besides he is to perform 100 hours of unpaid work.

Probably, he will occupy an unfamiliar position of sweeper as a part of community service: picking up litter, cleaning walls from graffiti etc. The real problem Rooney has to work beside petty criminals and benefit fraudsters.

Despite the incident, Wayne Rooney still has a chance to be Manchester United ambassador. Jose Mourinho is ready to give former Old Trafford player £100,000 per year as a payment for his contribution to the squad.
