UEFA Super Cup 2014 Date Fixture & Schedule of Final Match

The current UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid will meet winners of Europa League Sevilla FC in final of UEFA Super Cup 2014. Both teams are looking to add one more title in their trophy cabinet. The final match of UEFA Super Cup will be played on 12th August 2014 [GMT] at Cardiff City Stadium between two Spanish giants. Spain dominated last season with club like Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona who qualified for finals in biggest competition.

Although Los Blancos & Los Rojiblancos failed to clinch the La Liga trophy, but they bagged Champions League & Europa league trophy respectively. Carlo Ancelotti’s squad stole victory from Atletico Madrid after late header goal from defender Sergio Ramos.

Both Real Madrid & Sevilla FC have won Super Cup once which means one more victory will ad second trophy in their history. The Red & whites lifted their third Europa title after defeating SL Benfica on penalties.

Real Madrid new signing from Bayern Munich Toni Kroos is expected to play the final match. The 24 year midfielder signed a 6 year contract with the vikings. If he plays this match & wins it, then it will be his first title victory in first game for his new club.

Gareth Bale will be back to his home town where he was born. In 1989, Bale was born in Cardiff & begun his career with English club Southampton. He played a decent game in first season & helped Los Blancos to win 2 titles in 2013–14 season.

This is the fourth appearance of Real Madrid in UEFA Super Cup competition. In 1998, they played first ever final against Chelsea FC in which they faced  loss by 0–1. 2 years later, they were defeated by Galatasaray by 1–2. Finally they registered first title victory of this award in defeating Feyenoord by 3–1.

For Sevilla FC, it will be 3 third appearance. In first two appearances, Los Rojiblancos won first against FC Barcelona by 3–0 & loss second one against Italian club AC Milan by 1–3.
