UEFA Euro 2016 Prize Money In Indian Rupees [INR Currency]: The UEFA executive committee has finally revealed the winning prize money of UEFA Euro 2016 competition. After made the few changes in the format of the tournament with increasing 16 teams to 24 teams, the UEFA add the total prize money of the Euro 2016. As compared to the previous edition, the Euro Cup 2016 prize money will be more due to 65% in the games in 2016.

The UEFA Euro 2016 will feature 24 teams inspite of 16 teams as compared to the previous 2012 edition. Therefore the addition of the eight more teams, the Euro 2016 tournament consists of 51 matches.
Due to 65% increase in the games in 2016, the availability of the tickets will be more than 80%. Therefore, the UEFA expecting the estimated revenue between €450 million to €500 million. While in the previous edition, the UEFA generated income around €300 million. As the increase in the revenue, UEFA decided to increase the prize money of the UEFA Euro 2016. Every participating nation will receive eight million euros just for taking part in the Euro 2016 while one million euro for a win and 500,000 euros for a drawing the match in group stage. After enters to the knockout stage, there is no more performances bonuses.
The top 16 teams will receive 1.5 million euros and quarter-finalists will receive an additional payment of 2.5 million euros. The loosing team in the semi-finals will receive 5 million euros. The runner-up of the Euro will get 5 million euro while the champions will bagged 8 million euros.
UEFA official said “This means that, if the winners of the title have also won all three of their group matches, the total prize money they earn will amount to 27 million euros, compared with 23.5 million euros in 2012.”
The 15th edition of the UEFA Euro Cup 2016 will be commenced from 10th June to 10th July in which total 24 teams will participate.
