Real Madrid has won El Clasico with 3-1 in the Spanish Super Cup first leg on Sunday. And when Cristiano Ronaldo scored a second winning goal he got a red card with a ban for 5 games.
At first, he was suspended only for one game for two yellow cards in a row. But after he slightly pushed referee he got banned for four matches more.
Ronaldo received the first yellow card for celebrating the goal while he took off his shirt (like Messi did earlier). If Real Madrid can’t appeal his ban, 32-years-old star misses very important matches, which would be a huge advantage for their rivals.
Ronaldo allowed to play in the Champions League but he can’t go to the pitch until 20 September (match against Real Betis). Cristiano played in the match only 24 minutes. Then he scored, received his 10th red card for all career and two yellows within 2 minutes.
Zinedine Zidane said in the interview: “The red card is harsh and it very annoys me. We’ll try to do our best to see Cristiano available on Wednesday”.
