Ronaldo: If Everyone Was At My Level, We Would Be First

Ronaldo and the company have had some chances of scoring, but they failed to score even a single goal. After the match, Cristiano Ronaldo told to reporters that

“If everyone was at my level, we would be first”

“I do not want to belittle anyone but when they are not the best it is difficult to win. I like to play with Karim, Bale and Marcelo. I do not mean that Jese, Lucas and Kovacic are not good, they are very good, but to win a competition you need the best and that has been our main problem this year.”

“When I say that I mean the physical level, not the game. I am not better than any of my team mates”

After his interview, Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos backed him and said

“If anyone knows Cristiano, it is me. I don’t think he wanted to attack any of his teammates, but perhaps he did not express his opinion in the best way.”

“As captain, I feel proud of my teammates’ work and in difficult times we must emphasize this. But everyone is free to have an opinion. I think when results go against you there is more negativity, more excuses and more opinions. It is tough, we have lost a derby and the league is now almost impossible. We still have the Champions League and we are hoping to play well in that.”
