The Rio Grande do Sul court has given an order to seize the passport of the former Milan midfielder Ronaldinho due to unclear debts of 2 million Euros post finding only 6 Euros in his bank account. As per the reports, Ronaldinho and Roberto Assis Moreira, who is the brother of Ronaldinho have been levied a fine as he was involved in an illegal construction in a specific area. Although Ronaldinho did try to pay off the debt by putting his property on the mortgage, but due to higher interest rates, his plan had to be kept on hold.
Ronaldinho is now almost close to being bankrupt and the Brazilian has been in the battle with the government for some time now. As per the reports, in the year 2015, the development which was on the secured land was to be demolished in addition to a fine for damaging the environment. Neither Ronaldinho nor his brother complied with this rule. The fine has now shot up to 2 million Euros and the Brazilian has no funds to pay, although there is a big deal he has signed with Nike.
Ronaldinho was Barcelona’s ambassador, but the Blaugrana have now distanced him. The 38-year-old had nearly over 2 seasons post leaving Barca prior to his return to Brazil with Flamengo. Thereafter he was playing for Fluminense, Querétaro and Atlético Mineiro. The Brazilian footballer did take an official retirement earlier this year from his favorite game and spend a short time in Japan and China to complete his advertising campaigns.
