Roma Vs Juventus Live Online Commentary

This match will decide who wins Scudetto this season. Juventus pretty much have one hand on the trophy, but the AS Roma are determined to drag on the title race for as long as possible. The Old Lady come into this match having secured their place in the UEFA Champions League final that will take place in Cardiff. A 2-1 victory over French side Monaco was enough to earn the Bianconeri a place in the finals for the second time in just three seasons.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men have a very busy week ahead. Following this fixture, the Coppa Italia final is next, and a tough match against Lazio awaits. With that in mind, it will be very interesting to see how head coach Allegri manages his squad, but he likely will play his strongest starting XI in order to seal part one of the Treble Juventus are chasing this season.

The Giallorossi also come into this match in high spirits. Roma humiliated AC Milan 4-1 on the road to solidify their grip on second place and to keep Napoli at bay for yet another round. Luciano Spalletti’s future is in doubt with the club after some recent comments he made regarding not playing Francesco Totti, who will be retiring at the end of the season. The Lupi will have to put aside these off-the pitch issues if they want to get something out of this game.

As regards two team squad news ahead of this clash: Edin Dzeko set to miss out through injury for Roma. Kevin Strootman is suspended for this match, leaving them without two key players. As for Juve: they are without central midfielder Sami Khedira and centre-back Daniele Rugani through injury, but they shouldn’t make too many changes from the side which beat Monaco on Tuesday.
