Repuplic of Ireland settled for a 2-2 away draw at Serbia in their qualifiyng stage first game in the FIFA 2018 World Cup Qualification group D. They took the lead by midfielder Hendrick’s goal early in the game, but quick-fire strikes from Kostic and Dusan Tadic in the 62nd and 69th minute respectively put Serbia back in the lead. Ireland fought hard to get back on level terms in the 80th minute through D. Murphy, they will be hoping to get a victory at home and go top of the table should Austria and Wales slip.
Meanwhile, Georgia National tea, aren’t expected to be as much of a defiance to Repuplic of Ireland though. The visitors have lost nine of their last 14 games across the board and generally finish at the rock bottom of the qualification tables. Their shocking 1-0 victory overt Spain in the build up to Euro 2016 is by far their most impressive achievement, but they couldn’t build on this as they lost 2-1 at home to Austria in the World Cup qualifying opener.
