Radja Nainggolan has completed a move to FC Internazionale Milano on a four year deal from Serie A rivals FC Roma.
The transfer fee for the Belgian midfielder is reported to be in the region of £21million with two players – veteran fullback Davide Santon and 18-year-old midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo – heading to Roma in a swap deal.
The combative midfielder was a surprise omission from the Belgium squad in Russia 2018, a move that led to his retirement from International football.
Most Serie A fans believe that former Roma boss Luciano Spalleti played a massive role in the player’s decision to join the Milan club, having worked with him at Roma. Ahead of the move, a delighted Spalletti said, ‘Nainggolan is the turbo that was missing in our motor.’

The 30-year-old player made his Serie A debut with Cagliari before joining Roma where he spent four-and-a-half years. The Belgian’s quick rise to fame made him one of the most sought-after midfielders in Europe attracting interests from Premier League side Chelsea and other top European clubs.
He was an integral member of Roma’s run to the 2017-18 Champions League semi-finals, where Liverpool defeated them.
