PSG VS Monaco French Cup Live Online Commentary

PSG and AS Monaco meet on Wednesday night with a place in the Coupe de France final at stake. Both teams are in superb form at the moment and will be confident of progressing to a showdown with either Angers or Guingamp. Both PSG and Monaco are scoring freely at present so we expect this semi-final to be an open and engaging game. They are currently level on points at the top of the Ligue 1 standings, although Monaco have a game in hand, with the title race set to go right to the wire. The teams’ previous meetings this campaign have seen Monaco win at home in the league, the sides draw 1–1 at PSG while Unai Emery’s team hammered their rivals 4–1 in the final of the League Cup competition. PSG’s striker Edinson Cavani continues to flourish and is having a terrific season in terms of goalscoring, already bagging an incredible 31 times this campaign. On the other hand, AS Monaco have been the top scorers in Ligue 1 and continue to overcome hurdles in their way in this amazing campaign. Their chances of getting a treble are still on, with a UEFA Champions League semi-final against Juventus taking place next month. There is concern however that their young squad will start to feel the strain of so many matches and PSG could use this to their advantage.
