Paris Saint Germain’s campaign so far hasn’t gone to plan at all. New head coach Unai Emery came in to follow in the footsteps of Laurent Blanc. The former manager won three Ligue 1 titles, three Coupe de la Ligue trophies, and two Coupe de France’s in his three seasons at the club. Basically he won all but one trophy available in French football, but the PSG board are hoping Emery can bring European trophies to Paris. In midweek PSG played against Ludogorets in the UEFA Champions League and won 3-1, through Matuidi goal and Cavani’s brace. Now they will be looking to get back on track in Ligue 1 and improve on their 4th place standing in the table. As regards PSG injury news, Right back Thomas Meunier and midfielder Marco Verratti are out injured for the home team, while Layvin Kurzaawa could be fit enough to get back to the starting line up.

Meanwhile, Bordeaux underwent a terrible season last season as they went down to an 11th spot finish in Ligue 1. This term they look to have made some significant betterments though. They started their season with a 3-2 win over Saint Etienne and have since won another three matches, only losing to Toulouse and Angers and settling for a draw last weekend with Caen. They even defeated Lyon 3-1 at the Parc OL, and in doing so became the first team to beat Lyon at their new stadium, which was opened in January. As for the visitors injury update, Nicolas Maurice-Belay, Maxime Poundje, Jeremy Toulalan and Valentin Vada are all out injured.

PSG Vs Bordeaux: Head-to-Head stats

Paris Saint Germain have won three, drawn two, and lost one of their last six outings against Bordeaux, including Bordeaux taking a point from each of their Ligue 1 meetings last season.
